Yesha Council fact finding tour with MK Amichai Shikli

Last week, we hosted MK Amichai Shikli on a tour of Shomron, Binyamin, and the Jordan Valley. We showed him the momentum in housing construction, general development in the area, as well as the challenges and difficulties that we are contending with such as the illegal Palestinian encroachment of Area C.

Last week, we hosted MK Amichai Shikli on a tour of Shomron, Binyamin, and the Jordan Valley. Amichai has proven himself as an exceptional parliamentarian who has remained steadfast in his commitment to Yesha ever since the formation of the present government.

During the course of the day we visited the communities of Avnei Hefetz, Einav, the city of Emmanuel, and the Jordan Valley. We showed him the momentum in housing construction, general development in the area, as well as the challenges and difficulties that we are contending with such as the illegal Palestinian encroachment of Area C.

At the conclusion of the visit, MK Shikli remarked: “In addition to the fact that these lands belong to our forefathers, our presence in the areas of Judea and Samaria is imperative for the State of Israel’s existence. During the visit, I was delighted to meet the pioneers settling and developing the Land of our Inheritance, especially the residents of Avnai Hefetz – this is what the new and real Zionism is all about, and it is the best answer to our enemies and detractors. 

I want to thank my good friend and partner in IDF reserve duty, Yigal Dilmoni, Director General of the Yesha Council, and the members of the communities’ council members for the in-depth tour. It was of great importance to have the entire picture of what is transpiring in Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley put before me in a professional manner.”
